Thought of the day

Some moments you wish could last forever.

A new fun game

Hedbands! (It is spelled weird)

I am a rhino.

I am a pizza.

I am a pig.

I am a shark.

I am scissors.

Valentines Day

Regardless of who you are, every woman wants to feel special on Valentines Day. In years past, I have tried to pretend like it didn't matter. But it does. So this year Tyler picked up dinner, got me flowers and chocolates, and gave the girls some necklaces and chocolates. I think Milo and North ended up eating the most though. We all ate dinner as a family by candle light. North only ate rice, and tried to blow out the candles the whole time. It was wonderful!

Bowling Party!

I've been sick for going on 3 weeks. So here are some updates! Ava had her bowling party with all the girls from her school and church classes. There were 12 guests, not bad! She is so social. She wants to have friends over all the time. Is constantly making notes and letters and playdate plans. (not that I am good about making them happen) It is one thing that is hard for me - a person who likes a small circle of close friends - but I am realizing I have to let her be who she is! And trust her. Well, as much as you can trust a 6 year old.

All the girls used the ramps. And bumpers.

Friend reunion!

North bowling. I should have just let him bowl the whole time, but he was able to take Violet's spot at the end.

Cake time! (I was so sick.. ughh.. coughing the whole time)

Tons of fun presents.

Happy 6th Birthday Ava!

Ava turned 6 today! Yesterday, honestly, I was a wreck. But got cruisin' once the afternoon came and whipped up 22 rice crispie treats with sprinkle hearts on them and pre-made the layers of her cake. For the past three months I have lived with, "How many days until my birthday?" And the blessed day came. She was so happy all day. Just beaming. They sang to her at school and she got a huge sticker.

She was so happy about all of her presents. And she finally got the Doodle Bear she was super disappointed she didn't get at Christmas. We spoiled her. I'll admit it. But the rest of the year it's pretty desert-like in the gift department.

I hope she feels like the star she is!

The only person beaming at the end of the day more than Ava was me. Life is worth living, and children add so much to life and love!
