An awesome trip to UT

Tyler, the ski pro, at Sundance on the lift. Skiing in UT is SO different from skiing in Michigan. It was awesome!

Me, half alive. Look at all the mountains in the background! I more or less fell down the mountains five or six times. After that I was done - Tyler was just getting started. But he was patient with me and let us go home. That's what love is.
Scott Norton with Logan on top and Violet on the bottom cart at Best Buy. Needless to say, he attracted quite a crowd. We all hung out in the store while waiting an hour to get into Chili's!
Hallie Southwick at 2.5 mos. - all cheeks! Someday she is going to laugh at these pictures.
Another Hallie picture - just for Cami.

I didn't take as many pictures as I should have, but Natalie needs to send me some more. It was just what I needed to survive another Michigan winter. We started out our trip in Ogden. We ate at a great restaurant called Rooster's (no, not Spooters like out Canada trip) but the rest of the city was somewhat of a disappointment. After two nights there we went to Pleasant Grove and stayed with Tyler's Grandma Henrichsen. Her new house was beautiful and very comfortable. Ava was running crazy the whole time and slept maybe six hours in a day. Too many people to see and too many toys to play with at Grandma Henrichsen's!

The cutest thing EVER

Okay, so I probably say that cute things happen in every blog, but this far exceeds all other posts. Today while I was cleaning up from dinner Violet was eating in her high chair. Since she still hates baby food, I've been giving her finger foods. She seems to enjoy them thoroughly. So dinner was chicken, potato, carrot and graham cracker. I have to watch her very closely to make sure she doesn't choke, but she's done pretty well so far. After she ate all previously said items, I gave her a little bit of a biscuit. She seemed to be making some weird sounds in the back of her throat that sounded like snoring - not choking. I didn't think much of it because she is making a lot of funny noises lately. But after I left her seat her head bobbed around in a strange way. Violet promptly fell asleep in her high chair. No crying, no finger sucking, just laid her head on the top of her hands and fell asleep. I think we are really blessed to have such a sweet little girl. She also fell asleep in my arms while we were swimming at the gym. Maybe she's growing ... I also FINALLY moved up her clothes size. Her poor legs were sticking out of all her outfits. It seems like yesterday I was colorsafe bleaching 6-9 mo. clothes for Ava. I think I'm still sick of some of the shirts. I know how many times they've been stained.

Waffles!

Violet was so excited to eat waffles. I don't think many got in her mouth, but it was a good try. Violet still hates eating any sort of baby food. She continuously gags on it and then has to suck it down with her fingers. Let's hope this changes over the next couple months. She's still super light, or maybe it's just because Ava is growing so fast and getting really heavy. It's almost time that I'll have to stop carrying them both at the same time.

Merry Belated Christmas!

Christmas is a crazy time of year. We celebrated Christmas three times and threw in my birthday and New Year's. Combine that with two bouts of the flu and it makes for a few weeks of missed blogging! We celebrated Christmas in Pennsylvania with Grandma and Grandpa Mclean. A good time was had by all. We especially loved seeing family and friends we don't get to see often.
