All you Lurkers and Readers CHECK IN!

If you ever read this blog, check in. I want to know who you are all you lurkers ... !

Painting

I've been busy painting the kitchen for the past week and a half .. ! It's avacado green but we had to paint all the cabinets and are getting new appliances (thanks to Tyler's networking business). Don't worry, I'll post pictures. Violet's also been walking for a couple weeks so I owe you a video of that.

The Bear Crawl

Violet has been bear crawling for the past two months. She is very conservative and finds it faster and safer to use two hands and two feet. Her balance is also a little lacking, so until she's confident in walking, the bear crawl works very well for her! Part of it stems from the fact it's hard to crawl when wearing a dress. She gets really frustrated. Enjoy... sorry about the loud noise in the background.

Tyler's favorite current event

Tyler's coworkers brought this in for him. The only other news article I've ever kept was from 9-11.

Everything but the kitchen sink

One day this week Tyler brought home a new faucet. Our old one was leaky and ugly. He put it in, but the handle couldn't go all the way up with the window ledge. So he had to take it all out and put the old one back in. With two small kids you can't survive very long without a kitchen sink. Especially when your ghetto dishwasher requires a sink-hookup. We got a new one yesterday and he wanted me to put it in. I gave it a valliant effort, and got the basics, but after getting dripped in the eye, unhooking, and then hooking everything back up, he finished the project out by tightening everything up. Now at least I know how to turn the water off to the sink!
Old...
New!

Girls Camp

Last week Tyler was kind enough to let me go to girls camp. He, his dad, Jared and KC watched the kids while I played and acted like a boy-crazy teenager. Girls camp is for young women in our church 12-17. It gives them a chance to bond with each other and with girls in our area in a christ-centered atmosphere. It was really fun. It was held at the Battle Creek Outdoor Recreation area on the other side of the state. They were able to boat, swim, sing (A LOT about boys), do skits and eat lots of candy (since we were in cabins). Above are all the girls from our ward (church), and the bottom picture was when the Bishop and his counselors came and we did a pyramid. It is obviously mid-fall.
I love these girls!

Amy's Wedding

Finally! Amy's long awaited wedding was last weekend. Amy and Dan Cheneweth were married on Torch Lake in her grandma's back yard. It was perfect!
Us and the Bride and Groom
Our place settings. Everyone had to find their rock (from Torch Lake of course) and on the back had their seating assignment. Amy designed all stationary, invitations, menus, etc..
Dancing in the light. There were paper lanterns with tree branches in the top of the tent.
Tyler danced the night away. For anyone that went to a dance with Tyler, you know what this means.
Sunset
Setting up. Heather helped. (yes, I know the pictures are not in chronological order)
The rented bathrooms. It's all about the details.
The view of Torch Lake.
Bridesmaids, Katie Chenoweth, Kim Thornhill, Kim Brown, Amy, Meghan Ritchie and me.
Rehearsing.
Bridesmaids gifts, flip flops for the wedding, a necklance and a monogrammed tote bag.

Bonfire the night before the wedding
Amy and Dan!! Yeah!! We love them both. Congrats!
